A quirky, close-to-nature way to explore the countryside. The Carriage has been crafted into a beautiful timber-clad cabin, with a quality yet cosy feel.
Situated in the Peak District National Park, locations don’t come much better than this. The Carriage has superb views across the valley and lovely walks from the door. It is close to the Peak District’s wealth of attractions, including Chatsworth House, Dove Dale and Haddon Hall, and provides a cosy and unique base from which to discover the area.
The Carriage is a 1963 railway carriage which has been lovingly restored to a high standard. It has a living area with kitchen, seating area and bed, and a separate bathroom with shower. The bed is raised and reached by a fixed ladder.
Underfloor heating keeps you lovely and warm during your stay. The kitchen has a combination microwave oven, fridge-freezer, kettle, toaster and induction hotplate. The TV is streaming only.
Outside there is a lovely private patio with fire pit and amazing views across the valley. Portable barbecues are allowed and WiFi is available throughout.
The Carriage is suitable for two people. Spa treatments are also available.

Arriving at The Carriage
The Carriage is entered through patio doors and is all on one level, apart from the raised bed. It is completely self-contained, with an allocated parking space in the main yard close by and a large private patio with table, chairs and fire pit.
A brisk riverside stroll will soon get you to the local pubs in Darley Bridge, and the nearest town, with all its facilities, is a five-minute drive.
