Four stunning properties for the perfect break in the beautiful Peak District. Our four country hideaways are in the Peak District National Park, in the hamlet of Snitterton on the edge of the beautiful Wensley Dale. A brisk evening stroll by the river will soon get you to our local pubs in Darley Bridge, and the nearest town, with all its facilities, is just five minutes’ drive over the hill.
The Old Manor House, Snitterton
A smallholding with a moat and a long memory
The Old Manor House dates back to the 16th century and boasts many interesting and historic features, including a moat.
Sheep and horses graze the surrounding fields, and our cats and dogs enjoy befriending guests. We live in the house, so we are on site to make sure you have the best stay, with local advice whenever you need it.

A minimum stay of two nights, and long stays are welcome.

An allocated space on site, close to your door.
Pets by arrangement
Small children and pets welcome on request in the cottage, The Forge and The Hayloft (£20 per pet per stay).
Spa treatments are also available during your stay.
From the front door
There are many walks from the cottage door that take in the wonderful scenery of the area. Nearby are the amazing dales and peaks of Dove Dale, Mam Tor and Lathkill Dale, to name but a few, and for cyclists, trails such as the Monsal and Tissington are perfect for taking in the breathtaking views.
Our local pubs are a brisk evening walk by the river.
Over the hill for shops, supermarkets and all the facilities.
The magnificent Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall, with easy day trips to the market towns of Bakewell and Ashbourne.
The famous long-distance footpath across the White Peak is within reach, as are the cable cars that rise from Matlock Bath to a fantastic cave network.
Sailing, windsurfing, cycle hire and walks around the reservoir.
Manchester, Birmingham and East Midlands airports are all around an hour’s drive, so we are easy to reach from wherever you are.
