Country houses & stately homes

Chatsworth House, home of the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire, is set on the banks of the river Derwent. The house is spectacular, the garden contains amazing water features & giant sculptures and there is working farmyard with children’s playground. www.chatsworth.org

Historic Market Towns



Bakewell, home of the Original Bakewell pudding is an historic market town, which has market day each Monday. Situated on the beautiful river Wye it is a great place for a wander around, coffee and a spot of shopping

The market town of Ashbourne, with its winding cobbled streets, welcoming Market Place and handsome Tudor and Georgian heritage

Wirksworth, one of Derbyshire’s prettiest towns is magnet for lovers of history and heritage with its imposing stone buildings.

Our local spa town of Matlock and neighbouring Matlock Bath have some great attractions and eateries and are well worth a visit
Rivers, Lakes & Dales
Castleton is popular for its show caves, history, shops, Christmas lights, garland ceremony, Winnats Pass, Cave Dale and for those wishing to walk on the numerous footpaths in the area . Surrounded by hillsides and overlooked by Mam Tor and the ancient Peveril Castle.

Mam Tor, known as the shivering mountain is one of the most famous and breathtaking walks in the Peak District

Dovedale is a renowned natural trust beauty spot. With the beautiful River Dove running through it’s impressive limestone ravines this is a must for any visit to the Peak District.
