Our four country hideaways are located in the Peak District National Park in the hamlet of Snitterton on the edge of the beautiful Wensley Dale. All have superb views of the surrounding countryside and lovely walks from the front door. A brisk evening stroll by the river will soon get you to our local pubs Darley Bridge, and Matlock, with all its facilities is just 5 minutes’ drive over the hill.
Nearby are the magnificent Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall as well as the amazing dales and peaks of the area – Dove Dale, Mam Tor and Lathkill Dale, to name but a few. For cyclists, trails such as Monsal & Tissington are perfect for taking in the breath-taking views. Easy day trips to nearby market towns such as Bakewell and Ashbourne are another great way to get to know the area. Manchester, Birmingham & East Midlands airports are all around an hour’s drive away, making the properties easily accessible from all destinations
There are many of walks available from the cottage door that take in the wonderful scenery of the area. The Limestone Way is a famous long-distance footpath that traverses the White Peak is within reach as are the cable cars which ascend from Matlock Bath leading to a fantastic cave network.
